Student Feedback
• I think this class was really important to teenagers and myself because as you can see a lot of girls in Marshall needs someone to encourage them to think about education and not sex. Myself, it was very important to me. I needed someone to let me know what’s really out there in our community. So I would like to say Thank you.
• You really showed the ropes on how to become a better person. You are what a lot of us needed.
• I like this program. I think that this class is very needed for young girls like us so that they can realize that just to show your boyfriend you love them doesn’t mean you have to have sex with them.
• I really liked your class. This is a class that every girl and boy needs. It will help them physically, emotionally, mentally and socially. I wish you could stay longer.
• I wanted to let you know that I really liked this class and was looking forward to coming to your class every Thursday. I found a lot of things helpful and wanted to hear everything you had to say. Now, I know what to do, if I feel pressured into doing something I don’t want to do.
• I feel that this class has made me look in a different way about having sex. This class has made me feel that I should wait to have sex until marriage. You made me feel confident about going to check up on myself.
• You taught me so much that my guardian didn’t even talk to me about. For now, I am abstinent.
• I hope to be like you and save my virginity for marriage. I sometimes get teased a lot for being a virgin. I know how you use to feel until you found your husband. Saving my virginity for marriage is the best thing for me because I want to go to college. I don’t have time for no kids or a sexual disease. I’m going to save my virginity.
• You taught me things I really didn’t know. I might take what you say into consideration because I really think teenagers should be abstinent.
• I made a commitment to myself to stay abstinent until marriage. I know it will be hard but I hope I can do it. I also want to let you know that you inspire me.
• I liked this class a lot. You helped me understand things more. I want you to know that I have had sex, we did use a condom. But what you said helped me.

I really liked this program it got me thinking of how far I should go with my boyfriend. Now I think that this program really helped me in all ways and I hope it helps other kids in life. So they could make good choices and not do stupid things. And girls should stand up for themselves and just because their boyfriends say “I love you” doesn’t mean you have to give them sex. I hope this program helps other people and kids take advantage of it. Yaquelin Gonzalez
I think that this program was really cool and interesting. I loved it and I’m really looking forward to seeing you next year. Thank you for taking the time to teach us. You really inspired me. Niya
I appreciate you coming to work with us for the past 8 weeks. I have learned a lot. I made my decision to stay abstinent until marriage. I can’t imagine my life as a teenage mother. I loved it when you told us about how you and your best friend got married. Those two stories really inspired me. Hopefully I can find a guy as good as you two. Jessica
I love this program. It was the best program of this school year. I hope we can do it again because we can play and have fun and learn about something at the same time. That’s cool. JT
This program was a wake up call for me. It showed me what consequences I would risk if I decided to have sex before marriage. This program was very fun and a learning experience. I plan to save sex for marriage and I plan on sticking to it. The best part of the program was EVERYTHING. This was a great program and I enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you for taking the time to come to my school. You are the best. Jaslyn
I had fun with the WHAT’S GOOD Program. It taught me how to be abstinence,, different types of STD’s and how to make boundaries. Other kids should get this program so they could know how to have boundaries and how to say no when being pressured to have sex. I hope this program comes back next year because this program is cool. I would recommend this program to all the schools. Joyce
Ive learned a lot from this experience. Mrs. Gomez has taught us so much she taught us why abstinence is so important and how it helps your life. She says that, “Sex is a special and valuable thing, treasure it.” The WHAT’S GOOD Program was a great experience for me. She taught us that you CAN save sex for marriage. Victor
During this class I learned a little more about abstinence and a lot more on self control.
